President's Message - March 15, 2004
March 15, 2004
Dear Pacific Information Exchange, Inc. Customer:
Aloha from all of us at PIXI, pixi.com, aloha.com and hula.net. I have not been in constant communications with you and am endeavoring to change this. Many changes have occurred since I last communicated with you, and I apologize for being consumed by these changes. Be assured that it was all for the better.
The first and most significant occurrence is that we have returned the company to private, non-venture capital ownership. This was accomplished by a private buy-out of all the venture capital stock by major existing PIXI stockholders. This action assures our commitment to the local marketplace we serve, as well as a commitment to new and improved products and services for you our customers.
We have relocated our offices to Suite 770, still within the 1132 Bishop St. building. It brings us closer to our serving equipment, which is housed in a data center on the 7th floor. Our telephone and fax numbers remain the same.
We have worked on creating a new look and image. The logo truly represents this new direction for our company. Check out this URL, www.pixipowered.net for a taste of this new image. A sample of the look is also shown below.
Over the next few months more information on our strategic direction and new product offerings will be communicated to you.
We are still battling SPAM. The most recent filtering statistics show that for the period 7/1/2003 – 12/31/2003, our mail servers received 59,448,384 messages. Of these, 662,537 messages were deleted/cleaned for worm/virus infections and 44,036,244 messages were blocked as spam. And while we receive many good comments regarding the service we provide, we would like to continue to enlist everyone’s assistance in blocking SPAM. You can do your part in blocking the SPAM that still leaks through by going to our web site, http://support.pixi.com/spam/ . Use the instructions provided to forward any SPAM messages that have still gotten through to you. Also, watch for announcements on a SPAM-free email service that we will be introducing soon.
To continue with improved efficiency and customer convenience, we will be sending all billings electronically after April 1, 2004. Most often, this is sent to the e-mail address listed on your paper billing. Please verify this is the correct e-mail address, and if you have corrections, please notify Customer Service at 522-9393. This will help ensure uninterrupted service by having the e-mail sent to the proper e-mail address.
We take pride in being an all-local ISP who listens to their customers and is constantly attempting to expand and improve its services. We trust you appreciate our local technical support and the aloha we give you. We look forward to a continuing relationship and encourage you to contact us for any questions you might have.
Aloha, Stan Kubota President Pacific Information Exchange, Inc. skubota@aloha.com
