The following is a transcript of the proclamation signed by Jeremy Harris, Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, declaring October 26, 2004 Pacific Information Exchange, Inc. Day. Pacific Information Exchange, Inc will celebrate its 10 year anniversary at the 2004 Computer Expo held at the Neal Blaisdell Center.

Proclamation
WHEREAS, Pacific Information Exchange, (PIXI) is Hawaii's oldest locally owned Internet Provider Service (ISP) and one of the State's founding Internet companies; and
WHEREAS, it began ISP operations in August 1994 and was preeminent in providing Internet services to our island's business community; and
WHEREAS, PIXI was the first Hawaii-based ISP to provide T1 bandwidth for access to the Internet, and continues its pioneering spirit by being the first to provide Broadband over Powerline in the state; and
WHEREAS, PIXI has grown from a small shop in the Stadium Mall to a thriving company located in downtown Honolulu, with strategic business and technology partners in Maui and California; and
WHEREAS, this outstanding company will celebrate its 10th anniversary on October 26,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JEREMY HARRIS, Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu, do herby proclaim October 26, 2004, as
PACIFIC INFORMATION EXCHANGE DAY
in the City and County of Honolulu and I extend warm congratulations and best wishes to President Stan Kubota and his PIXI team for continued good fortune and success in serving the Internet needs of our community.
